Tuftworx

Every automated Tuftco tufting machine includes a tool box of comprehensive software to enhance the user experience and maximize production efficiency.

Team Viewer is a remote diagnostic tool that allows Tuftco's technical staff to be given access to the tufting machine PC through an internet connection. This tool enables software updates, machine diagnostics, and troubleshooting without the associated costs of travel.

Tuftworx

The TuftCom Operating System runs on our proprietary industrial grade 64 bit Windows 10 operating system, and is the primary means for setting up and operating the tufting machine. An identical version of the software is included as a desktop application allowing styles to be set up in the office increasing the uptime of the tufting machine.

Event Viewer is a real time customizable machine event activity log. Selected events are recorded in a log file and may be retrieved with included reports to evaluate performance and efficiency.

iBalance is a patented (US 9,915,017) production planning tool that can be used to reduce yarn waste. A pattern is loaded into iBalance and algorithms are used to balance the yarn usage within a pattern repeat. The customer can determine how close to perfectly balanced is acceptable in relation to the original design intent.

Four Roll Yarn Control System

Tuftco invented the servo-controlled yarn feed system in the late 1980s. We now introduce the 4-Roll 4-Pack System for even better performance and reliability.

• 4 rolls increases the yarn’s surface contact from 380° to 842° for increased control.

•More surface contact allows for decreased coated roll grit for reduced yarn wraps.

• 70% larger bearing on motor shaft.

• 4 roll configuration mechanically balances the load on the drive shaft, reducing side-load and increasing motor life.

• Special high temp lubricant for increased durability.

•Additional PTFE bearing incorporated into drive gear assembly.

• Tungsten carbide coated roll sleeve has superior life expectancy as compared to sandpaper.

The Agility Needle Drive option has an easy and convenient 2-point needle stroke adjustment.

DDHS - Direct Drive High Speed Needle Drive System

• DDHS needle drive system is engineered technology for high speed loop pile and cut pile tufting machines.

• DDHS technology features Tuftco’s patented Active Vibration Cancellation Unit System*. This active vibration cancellation unit system counters the natural inertial forces induced by reciprocating components on tufting machines. This Shaker System greatly reduces machine vibration levels which normally would occur at high speeds.

V-Tech

Variable Gauge Technology

V-Tech is a new patented technology that allows increased tuft densities of carpet at the touch of a button. Traditional tufting equipment has a predetermined and set gauge; V-Tech allows this gauge to be increased with no part changes or creel changes.

• Programmable gauge simulates a wide variety of gauges achieved by a servo shifting primary backing feed control.

• Gauge and pattern scaling application software.

• Different styles using different yarn sizes can now be tufted on the same machine saving upfront costs and saving factory floorspace.

• Variable density tufting for both carpets and rugs

• Available in loop pile, level cut loop (LCL), MLCL, cut loop, and cut pile constructions

• Traditional gauge X stitch rate to determine tuft density becomes obsolete. Tuft density can be programmed at the machine’s PC. For example, an 1/8th gauge LCL machine with 8 stitches per inch has a tuft density of 64. This same LCL machine with V-Tech can also produce a tuft density of 100.
